Twitter offers similar advertising tools to Facebook but they are less expensive. However, you should note that Twitter does not offer demographic targeting options. For example, you cannot segment your followers into male and female subgroups. This means you may lose some opportunities if you only target males.

To effectively monetize your efforts, you first need to determine your PPC budget. Next, identify the best keywords relevant to your industry. As a final step, design ads that will convert visitors into leads and eventually customers.
